Koko Crater Botanical Garden Meet-up

Come Nature Journaling with Ms. Kate!

We will be trying out different methods for drawing plumeria, and learning how to compare and contrast what we notice using all of our senses. We will also explore the area around the trees to see what else we can find and record in different ways.

Observing and learning is better together. All ages welcome, no experience necessary, just a positive attitude and curiosity about the natural world. And it’s all free!

Be sure to bring water bottle and a sit-upon (a blanket, beach chair, portable stool, or a small mat). If you’re bringing kids, also bring snacks, it’s a great motivator.

I will have some supplies to share, but it’s helpful if you can bring a sketchbook/journal and some basic art supplies (can be as simple as a pencil and eraser.) We will be talking a lot about color, so if you have a travel watercolor set, this is a great chance to use it!

(Note: this is NOT at the Koko Head stairs! This is inside the crater at the gardens.)

If there’s no parking, you can park in the neighborhood, just make sure your car is facing the right way and not blocking driveways.
