What is Nature Journaling?

Nature Journaling is the creative practice of recording thoughts and observations of the ʻāina using a combination of words, pictures and numbers.

It’s easier to see than explain: you can view sample nature journal pages made by me and pages made by my students.

How do I get started?

It all begins with stepping outside with paper, a pen or a pencil, and an open mind. You don’t need to be an artist, writer, naturalist, or a scientist, you just need to be curious!

Events I am hosting, and events I’ll be attending and teaching at, can be found on my events page.

If you’d like to schedule a small group or private lesson with me, you can email me: info@katerighter.com or fill out the form on my about page. If you have more questions, you can check out my Nature Journaling FAQ page.
