Aloha, I’m Kate Righter, a nature journaler, artist, writer, and educator living in Hawai’i. I love helping people of all ages get creative and connect with nature. 

Note: A few of my art pieces will be on view at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens gallery from March 2 – 28, 2026. Gallery hours are 9:30 am – 3:30 pm daily, except Thursdays.

I’ve moved my educational work over to the Hawaii Nature Journal Club website, where you can sign up for upcoming workshops, find resources for starting a nature journaling practice, and get free downloads and lesson plans for classroom teachers.
