Beginner Bird Walk and Nature Journaling

February 11 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

Join me and Hawai’i Audubon Society on a walk focused on the joy of birds. We will be walking along the levee across Kawainui marsh. Please bring sun protection and water, as there is no shade.

Depending on interest, we will cover:

  • How to use binoculars
  • Basics of identification
  • Information about commonly found bird species
  • How to journal what we see — recording experiences using writing, drawing, and counting (bring your own journal or sketchbook and writing tool).

No prior experience necessary. For ages 12 and up. Babies and young children in strollers or carriers are also welcome.

Email events@hiaudubon.org or sign up to reserve a spot. We will meet under the monkey pod tree by the parking lot.
